Getting started with Nurimoa

A few minutes is enough to be up and running. Here's the order of the steps and what Nurimoa works out for you at each one.

1. Create your profile

Enter your current weight, gender, height and age. From this, Nurimoa automatically calculates your basal metabolic rate — the energy your body spends at rest.

2. Choose your goal

If you want to lose weight, set your target weight. Instead of an imposed deficit, Nurimoa gives you the calorie needs of your target weight as today's goal: you eat as if you were already there, and the deficit builds itself, with no restriction. Optionally, you can split that goal between carbs, fats and protein (the total must add up to 100%).

3. Log your first meal

In the journal, pick the day in the top strip, then the category — breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack. To find a food, four sources are combined: seeAdding a food.

4. Get into the rhythm

Log your activities too — they increase yourdaily calorie budget — and yourmeasurements. Day after day,Progress turns your entries into readable trends.

Frequently asked questions

Is the target weight required?

No. It only matters if you want to lose weight: it's what your calorie goal is calculated from. Otherwise, just enter your weight, gender, height and age.

Can I change my goal later?

Yes, any time, in your profile (Goals tab). Your calorie goal and your macronutrient split can both be edited there.
